“EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) – Online trade is directly and always affected!” The new obligations of online marketplaces in Europe are a big issue. Online sellers have to register or license their packaging, Electric/electronic devices and batteries and the marketplaces have to ensure the correct EPR registration. So far, the markets directly affected are Germany, France (here in 15 EPR categories) and Austria. If you sell on these marketplaces, you have to assume that the marketplace will check your correct registration. Usually, registration numbers and/or licensing documents are requested for this purpose.
